i currently make my own flips with PVC-free plastic card holders and cardstock is this usable for the coins? or should I pay 6$ for 100 cent flips on Amazon?

If it is cost effective, I say why not. Is the plastic flexible enough to not rub the coins?

Wizard has them for $2 per hundred. There is shipping to consider, but if you need other stuff, it is an alternative.

Sounds okay to me. Again, if you can do it cheaper then do it. However, 2x2s are hardly expensive. Of course, it is a bonus if you enjoy making them.
