I bought this a while ago and never checked what this long coin/ingot is. It does contain silver not sure of the grade.

Bought around 2 years ago at a coin auction in the UK described as Asian silver ingot or something like that, it caught my eye as I never saw such a thing before but never got around properly identifying it:

Well still wondering where and when it was made...the hyroglyphic writting....could it be from Thailand, Vietnam or Sri Lanka?

It is not Hieroglyphs for sure. It does look like that characters are based off of Kanji though. I don't recognize any and I can't really read the language, just pattern recognition for coins. I say based off because the characters all seem to have a horizontal line at the bottom.
