1921 Morgan Double Sided Die Crack - Coin Community Forum

sjblock New Member United States 5 Posts	Posted 10/06/2015 5:06 pm H E L P. I'm new with coin errors and a new to this forum. Was going over some odds and ends and found this 1921 Morgan. It appears to have Die Cracks on both sides. Is this possible? Am I correct? Report this Post to the Staff

Dies were used not to the point of failure but to the point that they just about literally exploded. This is why 1921's can almost be VAM attributed soley on their crack placements. Seriously though, be warNed that morgan and peace VAM identification is an extreemly addicting facet of numismatics if you get bit by the bug so be carefull and tread lightly... or go full force The book you want is called "The encyclopedia of morgan and Peace dollars" by Leroy Van Allen and George Mallis. ( VAM is an acronym for Van Allen-Mallis) the guys who started the whole thing and authors of the book I mentioned above Report this Post to the Staff
