I was wondering if this is a good deal.

Personally, I don't like damaged coins (especially certified damaged coins!) because they're often very difficult to re-sell.

Way too many of those available to buy a damaged one at that price. 50% too high if you ask me. nlp

If you buy a coin with a problem you'll always have a coin with a problem.
Up to you whether you can live with that.

Not all of us here are flippers, some of us actually collect coins as a hobby.
That being said, I'm not sure that it's a 'great' deal. If the seller dropped it another 20%, I would take a nibble at it. I'd be very happy with the coin, as it is one of the twelve US coins left to complete my sets, but I would hold back for a little better deal.

Please. I'm not a flipper either - just saying that when you DO decide to sell it may be difficult.

Agree on price. With no effort you can buy a clean slabbed XF for well under $700.
