I was wrong I made same mistake on mine first time and again

vermontensium has a great picture on this thread

I got one also and mine also has the bottom of the s worn down

I think the key is to remember the ball is supposed to always be on bottom

That is a normal Ball serif mint mark. (but a keeper as they are less in number for that year)
