Hi, I have just recently joined. I am a new collector and very naive to the values of coins. I've just recently purchased a 2016 snowy owl coin, and noticed a possible flaw with the coin. There is a speck of color (dot) missing from the body of the owl. In other words the silver shows through. I'm wondering if anyone has any insight as to whether I should contact the mint and/or return the coin. I have tried finding info to see if this would affect the value in anyway and should return it while I can. Any info is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you are not happy with a coin I believe the mint does full refunds, I personally would return it.

Yes send it back. About 2 weeks for refund or they will replace it.

Pictures? Could be worth a premium on ebay, some collectors buy these sort of things , not saying I agree with it but who am I to tell someone how to spend their money.

to the CCF, Italiano !

Hope, you will enjoy and learn a lot from the forum.

As all the people advised - return it to RCM and ask for replacement.
And like Northerncoins said - you might try to check ebay to sell it for premium.

Well, here comes less optimistic stuff:
Without doubts, your "2016 Snowy Owl" is a nice coin, but also...the ordinary one among endless coins in recent years. So your coin, even the perfect one, probably very fast will lose the "resell value" and drop it to 50% from issue.
(of cause sometimes possible to find these who will pay more).
