Hello all,

I purchased this Buffalo, and since I don't know Buffalo varieties too well: I searched it up on the NGC's Variety Plus listings. The most popular it seems is a doubling of the eye lid. It only appears a bit raised, or thickened so I just dismissed that.

This did not appear to be the DDO as there is no doubling that I can see. However when I turned it onto the back to check if it may have reverse doubling, I noticed what appears to be the "raised lump on the left hindleg which is diagnostic for this die."

Since I had seen the front with the thick eye brow, and the coin is not exactly in MS70 condition; could this just be a bit of wear on the coin?

P.S. I have a "budget" microscope camera, so I attempted to reduce/heighten it's lighting to help with the photos. Let me know if more are needed.

If for some reason you ever become dissatisfied with your photographic device you may wish to read this thread on USB cameras; I placed several comments there including close-ups diagnostic shots of mint-marks. This USB device set me back about $ 35:

I'll wait for the experts to chime in on the DD status.
