Hello Everyone.
A few years back, I picked up this coin for a few bucks at an antique store in Honduras. The woman claimed that it was genuine, and it came from the The Admiral Gardner, a ship that was wrecked in 1809. Do you think that it is genuine?

Thanks!

Jackpot777, The coin looks to good to be true. A replica of some sort.
A coin found in salt water would not look like yours.
Lets see what the CCF members think.

Most of the Admiral Gardnercoins were recovered in exactly this condition. The Royal Mint sold many. In expensive folders. Yours looks OK.

alganbagerap is correct.
Anyone who says this is a replica isn't familiar with this issue or the story behind it.

These are pretty popular and are found in nice condition in a slabbed private case. Fun piece of sea salvage to own. Enjoy.
Rest in Peace
