This page shows the official "Annual Medals" issued by the Vatican and featuring Pope John Paul II: http://www.numispedia.de/Hintergrun...I._(Vatikan)
The text is in German; click on any medal to view a larger image.
Seems that the link gets cut off; try this one instead: http://preview.tinyurl.com/378jth

By the way, if you can edit the subject of your post, change it to "Pope John Paul II Medals".

Here is an Agricola Medal issued by the Food and Agriculture Organization to His Holiness in 1998. It was issued in gold, silver and bronze.

It was accompanied by the following citation

FAO Agricola Medal
To His Holiness
Pope John Paul II

This Agricola medal was struck in 1998 by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in honour of His Holiness Pope John Paul II, in recognition of His Holiness' continuous struggle against hunger and malnutrition and His demonstrated concern for the plight of mankind's poor, and for peace in the world. FAO also notes with satisfaction, that His Holiness, Pope John Paul II was elected to the Papal Office on 16 October 1978. The date of 16 October is the founding day of FAO which is celebrated each year as World Food Day. This Agricola medal has been presented on the 20th Anniversary of His Holiness' Pontificate, on the occasion of the eighteenth observance of World Food Day marking the 53rd anniversary of the founding of FAO.
