Picked this up Saturday at the Indy coin show. Do you think it would make FH? Interested in your opinions.

IMO, no. Fuller than average for SLQ's but 1917 Type 1 were generally well struck.

FH means full head. It means that the strike is strong enough such that the entire details of Liberty's head are visible.
This distinction only applies on coins that grade AU50 or higher.

I'm at 45 as well, and agree that FH is not really relevant on a circulated coin.

The coin is between XF45 and AU50. It may pull AU. Full head is only acknowledged on AU and MS coins. Imo it does not meet FH designation. Nice original T1

I;m at XF-45 for this piece, no luster, some wear, and whatnot. It's still a really nice coin
