I have the opportunity to buy this 1818 cent...It weighs dead on at 10.9g ..Has cartwheel luster, but is turning brown..Looks to me to be MS 62/63, or am I wanting it too bad? Opinions would be great..Think the coin is legit, but don't want to fall in love!! Believe it to be N10 variety..Thanks everyone!

I'm no Large Cent expert for sure, but this certainly looks appealing to me.

The coin is almost 200 years old. I wouldn't hold off for a red one. It's well struck and looks to be problem free. If you are looking for an extremely high grade example of a middle date large cent, this is an excellent candidate.

Definitely legit. No one could fake those die attributes.
