Not a bad coin at all. I would leave it alone and not try to clean it.

I would second not cleaning it, it's nice that even with a little environmental damage the details are still in good shape. Good find.

Hmmm. I hope I'm wrong, but I suggest you keep your eye on this coin for a while and don't let it make contact with your other pieces, just to be sure. You lose nothing if I am wrong. I am a bit suspicious of those pale greenish spots on some of the high points. If they are the residual of bronze disease that has been washed off, it will be back.

Those spots are not verdigris, but I can't tell from the pic just what I AM seeing. So all I can do is give a caution and hope it is not necessary. If it proves out to be BD, and was not mentioned, then you may want to make sure the seller will accept a late return.

One of the points of suspicion is that the patina is uneven. Has it been compromised down to bare metal in spots? [I'm looking at the obverse, back of the head among the radiate crenellation.

If bronze disease is present and you can't return it, and you want to treat it then we can talk about sodium sesquicarbonate treatment. But let's not jump the gun.

It looks to me like the coin suffered some by being carried about in a sack !
It looks much like it rubbed against other ae's in a hoard. In the olden days (last century !) I would often see dealers simply dump bags of coins into bowls or cardboard boxes for buyers to pick through. It may have been a "find" made by some lucky fellow !

I don't see any scars that would indicate that it had been treated for cancer. But always best to keep an eye on it for a few.

It is a nice coin ! Hard to find ruler in attractive condition.
