Need some help identifying whether the coin I have is an 1897 wide 8. Thanks.

Here is the "slender 8"

This is the coin in question. It is obviously wider but it's not as pronounced as other pictures I've seen.

I would call that a wide 8.
The bottom half is slightly wider than the top half
whereas on a narrow 8 the top and bottom are the same size.

Thanks guys, it's obvious now. It was sold to me as a "slender 8" which threw me off and when I compare it to the "wide 8" in the Charlton, it seems more narrow.
