Just wondering if this is a specimen strike or a proof like?

Thank you

Most definitely not a specimen strike. Be very careful if purchasing 1970 specimen coins (other than the nickel dollar). Only about 1000 sets were made...

Try studying the 1971 specimen strikes and closely observe the strike characteristics for each denomination.

Here is a 1970 specimen 25c, and you can sometimes find some lovely cameo strikes.

I boughit for only a couple of dollars, and so I wasn't expecting to get a specimen coin. But for what looks like a reputable seller, I wonder why it was listed as "specimen".

Thanks for the link SPP. Will look into speicmen strikes for that those coins

A couple of photos are also here, which are good to study. Pay attention to the squared letters of the legends, and the sharp-edged rims. The strike will also be very strong.
