I got this today as change and have no idea what it is. The back is smooth. Hoping it'ssomething of value but most likely not

hi, welcome to the forum community. As to your medallion here, could you give us an idea of size, is this the size of a nickel, quarter, or larger? is it magnetic?

I don't think this is a coin but perhaps some sort of religious, or cultural medallion of some sort.

Thanks for the quick reply. It's about the size of a dime and it's not magnetic.

Looks like what is being portrayed is the Aztec calendar stone.

If the back is smooth, it's likely a jewelry piece or similar. Any idea if it's silver? You can try the tissue test (click for an example).

Might have been fastened in a necklace and popped out.

Stephen, that's exact hat it looks like. Wow. Good job. I wouldn't even to know to look for that. I'm amazed! Too bad it wasn't an Aztec coin! Lol
