Hello all,

Newbie here.
I need your opinion on those coins. Have been some 30 years in my albums. Probably been cleaned at some point of their history.

The dime looks slightly off centered. Normal ?

Thanks for any input,

Andre

to CCF!

My opinion is the 1898-S quarter grades AU-50, maybe an old cleaning but it looks like it is toning back on its own.

The 1898 Dime appears to be in the same grade range, AU-50 with maybe an old cleaning.

I would place them both in a lightly-circulated AU-58 grade. The lighter color across the cheek and fields of the quarter seems consistent with the natural way such a coin would have been handled in a short life-span.

Very nice coins, no alarms here.

I'd say they both are right around AU 55 ..
If they have been cleaned it must have been very light and I don't believe it's severe enough to receive a details designation ..
