I have a Copper God and Freedom medal that is listed in the Hibler and Kappen reference book as HK-917. According to that book there were only 1000 of them produced in copper before they were switched to silver. I can find lots of the silver ones that have sold on ebay and auction, but cannot find one reference to a Copper one for sale. Does anyone know of one that has sold, or a good reference for judging its worth?

Copper rounds of most descriptions sell for $5.00 to $8.00 each at the local gun shows and for less at the local coin shop.

Like this one they are sold as money to be used after the the zombies or other ends the world as we know it.
Unless you can find somebody that collects them and wants it you will probably be disappointed in what they sell for.

@Osprey. Did you pick up a God and Freedom medal for $2.50 or another copper round?

Here are some photos, but based on the interest I have had from potential buyers, I think it is definitely worth more than $2.50.

There is a price supplement that was provided in the HK book (book published in 2008). As a guide here are the stated values from the 2008 price supplement.

Circulated value is $20 to $100

Uncirculated value is $100 to $300
