Copper Coins lists some 1972 pennies up to 3000.00, but not just a master die doubled penny.

In answer to your other question, there is an app you can download, called "Paint" I think. It enables you to draw arrows.

Oh thank you CoinMaster, I had wondered how you all did it.

So basically this 1972 is nothing and I should just put it back into circulation? I'm going to go through my other 1972 I have a few in there that might be a good one I hope.

Here is a site I think you will find very useful, Mdnyte.
http://www.coppercoins.com/advsearch.php
The $1000 and up coins are great, but are few and far between. I think most people accumulate $5 and up coins, and sell them on ebay, here, or just keep them in their personal collections. if you enjoy it and have the time, it's not difficult to find $20 coins, that's the best return on your money that I know of. They do add up.
It's a numbers game. I go to my bank and buy a box of nickels for $100 or a box of pennies for $25, and procure some free wrappers. I search the coins, keep the good ones, wrap the normal ones, and cash them in at another bank.

Thank you CoinMaster. No doubt I need a whole lot of
improvement with the camera. Taking some of these pictures
has been a bit of a challenge for me. I have tried everything they've
suggested with the lighting and so forth and they either come out to dark
or there is to much of a glare. My mother who also joins in on the forum
is just as bad as me, I think bad picture taking runs in the family lol.

Under 5.00 dollars given I paid a penny for it I'll keep it. I'm one of
those people who use coupons when I go grocery shopping. Saving
5.00 dollars I consider myself 5.00 richer :)

Thank you again all of you for helping me with this one. I truly
appreciated it.

I would keep it too. Don't worry about your pics, they'll improve with practice. I'm glad I could help with this coin. It's getting late, so until another day and another coin... c ya.

Mdnyte

At the start you'll tend to save many things that you'll toss back later, but in my experience, it's the right way to do it. Even then you'll toss back coins that you'll later find out were ones you probably should have kept. As you gain experience working through a pile of coins and expand your knowledge of coins through reading and discussing, you'll make fewer mistakes as time goes on.

Save the coins that interest you for further study and collectability. In an average box of cents, I'll pull 30-50 coins to study further keeping but a few. It's my two-step-put-back. It goes into circulation again only after working out what it is I have in hand. And even with the two-step, I've released coins I should have kept (didn't know enough at the time). So take your time; learning isn't a race and neither is collecting. Enjoy yourself. And with regards picture taking, practice-practice-practice. With experimentation, you'll dial into a routine that will work for you.

I wish you the best of luck!!

Thank you very much Rackster for the kind words. I love coin roll hunting. You could probably say I'm a tad addictive at this point :)
and the more I learn the more fun this is becoming. When I started keeping coins these past couple of years I ended up throwing some of
them back as well which now I'm worndering if I made a bad mistake after reading some of these others post. I think now my biggest challenge is the picture taking. I am so hoping in time to become better with that. Keeping my fingers crossed anyway. :)
