This looks like a normal large date copper cent. I have a side by side for 002 but it show the normal LIBERTY

Yours looks like a normal coin. Note the 001 has a lot wider devices:

Thank you coop! It is funny how it looks like there is notching on the "L" and "I" in both examples you have. This is a tough one for me because the normal one is so thick that it looks similar to the doubling that we see in modern pennies but the real DDO example is definitely wider than the normal as you pointed out here, thanks!

One other thing, do you know why the zinc and copper both are labled the same - 1982P-1DO-001?

The 001 & 002 are large date copper. The 003 is a large date zinc. There may have been some dies that were used for copper then used also for the zinc cents. Just not a variety die yet that we have seen that on. But it might be possible.

I see and that makes sense, I noticed the different ones on copper coins earlier today.

Probably the first spot to look for the 1982P-1DO-001 is on the "R" on TRUST:
