I started through a box of customer-wrapped cents a month ago. This box is nearly 100% unc. LMCs from 1959 to mid '90s. This is one of many beauties from this box. Grade? Edited by noD 10/16/2015 03:36 am

Nice one noD, looks MS-64/5RD to me hard to find these in the 80's in good condition like this one.

Nice one, noD! Every bit of MS-66 in my opinion.

Check your title, it is not a wheatie nor an 1886

Sorry for the title mistakes. I bet most folks will figure it out.

The title surely caught my attention. Nice coin, tough to find a zinc penny uncorroded, let alone having RD color.
But I do see some really unpleasant areas, particularity the surface darkness (may just be dirt or perhaps oxidation from fingerprints), particularly at the bottom of the bust.
MS64RD

I'd keep all the uncirculated 80's and 90's memorials. There aren't that many nice ones left.

I hope an acetone bath will remove the crud below the bust. I keep unc. lmcs when I find them. I've never found this many all at once.

Congrats on the box! That sounds like a good box for working on a roll set.
EZ 67RD, beautiful coin.

Thanks for the good news Thad. I've been stumbling around the house recovering from major surgery for the past couple months. This box and CCF have kept me focussed.

Strike is an important component of a grade. Since the coin was Struck Through Grease and the steps are pretty weak Imo I would have to take it down at least one or two points. Add to that the oxidation ànd I have to agree with the MS64 net grade above

A speedy recovery no D! Always enjoy the beauties you post up here. I've been looking for a nicer 1986 D through the last two boxes...none looked like this one. Nice find!
