While on a string of disappointing boxes I came across this odd Lincoln Penny.

I'm well aware of the novelty pennies as I have found three roll hunting already. To date I have found the state of Montana, Lincoln smoking a cigar, and the Kennedy head. This one however I've never seen before and cannot find any reference to what the P engraved on the side stands for.

Has anyone come across these? and if so what does the P stand for?

Thanks in advance

Guess it would help if I actually uploaded the image.

Just someone punching letters in coins. No meaning behind it as far as I know.

and who knows. I have seen some coins people have done strange things to for no apparent reason.

What's even stranger is I'll end up keeping it in my case as an oddity that I'm unlikely to find again.

Strange hobby I've become addicted to.
