Twice now this morning after sending an internal forum email, my system locked up and shut down when I hit the "close this window" button. The emails were sent for sure, as I have received a reply already, but the close window button shut down IE both times. Everything else has been working fine.

Bobby,
The only issue I've had lately with email is I'm getting three copies of all emails that are sent to me. These have come from more than one source.

Wow, can you tell me where from? That shouldn't even be possible.

Bobby, Emailed you the names. Hope you only get one copy. It wasn't the same message from several sources, it was the same message three times from each source. I was thinking maybe I was getting popular.

Hmm... Just ran a few tests and I cannot duplicate this problem. Does it do it with all of them or is it kind of "flukey"?

Just happened with the last three emails received. I'll let you know if it continues. Not a big problem, I just delete the copies.

That is a client side problem, meaning it's an IE problem. When you click Close, there is no interaction with the web server, It's IE's task to close the window and if it fails, it's because IE couldn't handle it for some reason.
