A teenage student of mine found this coin in Huntsville, Ontario, Canada and I am not sure where it is from or if it is even authentic. Please help me identify it.

Thanks

Steve

The first image reads "Fasci Giovanili di Combattimento", with some letter cut off. A quick internet search of that phrase reveals that this is infact a medal.
"Fasci Giovanili di Combattimento" translates from Italian to "Fascist Youth Combat". The item in the center of the first image is a fasces with a sword and shield, looking like this:

The medal is made out of bronze and should look like this when less damaged:

I don't know more personally, this was all information gathered from that extended search. An interesting piece indeed but sadly it's quite damaged. It's most likely authentic, don't know of anyone making copies of these considering medals usually don't have such a large collector base.

Wow. Thanks for doing all of that research for me. I really appreciate it.
