There certainly were tons of Uncirculated Sets sold in the 60s but according to Charlton, the numbers sharply decreased in and around 1970 to the 200,000s. By the 1980s it was mostly in the 100,000s. By 2003 often less than 100,000. Assuming all sets are intact - which we know is not true - that's not a large number considering the continued growth of the Canadian population and increased interest by collectors from other countries, primarily US.
Personally I will say I spend a good while searching for Uncirculated Sets for the most recent 25 years at a reasonable price - they are not as easy to come by as one might think. Certain years are continually sold out at major dealers as well.
