First I have to thank Ray for building this setup for me. these are my first pics of a white Morgan. I used 3 Jensjo's with a double layer of tissue to difuse the lights. Camera settings were just as I received the camera.
I have much to learn a lot of reading to do.
All comments welcome.

Hi streg2,

Check to make sure the following settings are being used:

Knob on top set to Av

In the tethering program:
- ISO 100
- White Balance Tungsten
- EV -1/3EV
- Picture Style Neutral with following sub-settings
- Sharpness 3
- Contrast -2
- Saturation 2

The main issue I see with the shots is the white balance is way off, so it is probably on Auto or some other setting.

It's odd that your white balance is so far off with tungsten setting on Jansjos. It looks like you need to do custom white balance.

When you zoom in for focusing, there is an eyedropper you can use to set the white balance. De-focus the image a bit, then click the eyedropper on the white prong of the slab. This will make the prong your white balance reference.

The whole image is a bit fuzzy. How are you doing focusing. The method I use is to zoom-in with the software, which gives you full resolution and allows you to critically focus.

Maybe it is an aperture problem. What is the aperture setting on your lens?

And please rotate the coin a little bit so it's square. Pet peeve of mine. Morgan dollar obverse is square when a vertical line goes from the middle of the date through the right corn stalk tip. The reverse is square when IGWT is level. There is a grid you can turn on in Live View that will help you with alignment.

Thanks for the tip on the correct orientation of the obverse on a Morgan. I've always had a heck of a time trying to estimate whether the coin was oriented correctly. There is just nothing on the obverse that is level, the dates are all over the place. Heck even using PCGS Photograde, those Morgan's are all over the place. Now mine will be spot on every time.
