Did a bit of digging after posting in my other thread, and figured this coin was worth a separate thread:

Obverse:

Looks like the "Bust of Apollo right" used on many Lydian coins ca. early 2nd century BC
 Looking-For-ID---Possibly-Lydia-Ae-Unit,-Bust-Of-Apollo

Reverse:

Figure holding horn or cornucopia in right hand; possibly raven or eagle in left
 Looking-For-ID---Possibly-Lydia-Ae-Unit,-Bust-Of-Apollo

Any ideas on this one? Was purchased from ebay as one of 20 "unidentified late Roman bronze".

E:

Weight: 7.41g
Max. Diameter: 22mm
Min. Diameter: 18mm

A little more info after studying further:

- Figure on reverse is holding spear in left hand; bird is perched on figure's elbow, not hand.

- Faint legend is visible on left side of reverse. Depending on orientation, is either Latin -VS or Greek SL-

Still finding zilch on Wildwinds or any other coin search engine. There is a significance to the cornucopia being held in the figure's right hand--every other deity holds it in the left.

I'll post here if I find anything else on this.

I am thinking it could possibly be Athena Alkis reverse? She always brandishes a spear (usually with a shield)

It reminds me of a coin I have from Messembria Thrace but I am only hazarding a guess.

Did a little digging, and I think I may have found it:

http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/gree...rdoba/t.html

Very last one on the page. Only problem is, the figure is reversed, holding the cornucopia in the right hand, not the left as in the Wildwinds example. Anyone have any bright ideas as to why this might be? I know that the left and right hand were of artistic significance, so I am at a loss as to why the figure would be reversed. I am fairly comfortable making the conclusion that the figure is indeed winged Cupid/eros holding a cornucopia and torch.
