I was wondering what the mintage of these coins would be,according to the RCM site they didnt make any for circulation in these years and among other years? But they are in specimen sets etc. I find it strange there were none made for circulation or am I missing something here?

There was enough loonies in the circulation system that no need for any more loonies, I believe the country is divided into 3 or 4 division and if there is a large supply the RCM makes adjustments on coins produced.

i would wager that the only way to derive mintage per type is to look at the different sets offered from the mint;
This is one of the reasons why I like the 'uncirculated' sets;
They are essentially higher grade circulation type coins - and of late they seem to be the only sure way to get standard issue verions of coins for any given year.

About 6 to 7 years ago, all sets are made from Winnipeg produced normal units then assembled packaging.
