I am terrible at grading Peace dollars. But even with that being said, for $6 over melt, how do you think this 1928-S Peace dollar would grade out?

My personal grade: VF20.

The reverse does look 20 or 25 but the obverse is an easy 30. I'd grade it VF30 myself.
