This attractive Braided Hair large cent has some major die cracks on the reverse! Formerly owned by Jules Reiver, from the Jan. 2006 5 day sale. Newcomb N-23, a scarcer R5, MDS.

Grade opinions welcome, EAC/TPG

love those die cracks on this one. VF30 would be my grade estimate. Very nice.

I grade this coin VF35, EAC grade net 30 (conservatively).

edited to add: and a nice, scarce coin!

I am not adept with the Newcomb varieties. Is that some doubling by the
4?
