There are a number of books available. Do you have an idea what time frame you want to collect? That would help to narrow it down.

Are you interested in small size notes? I recommend Oaks & Schwartz book on US Small Size currency if you are. You can pick it up on ebay for about $15. Check out http://www.uspapermoney.info/ it has a lot of useful information on it.

Or large size, nationals, obsoletes, or maybe fractionals? Do a goggle search and see what is selling on dealers sites. It will give you a ballpark of how much to pay for a note.

something I should of Done Before I started collecting. Now It is A secondary Hobbie. I collect the books that Give me the info reaserch history etc.
