I bought a MS66 1938D Buffalo nickel for my 20th Century Type set and it looks like a great strike.

Fairly common as these are, that's a good price for a 66. When you receive it, check the mintmark to make sure it's not a D/S!

Nice coin.
The knot at the braid has details.
That's often a weak spot; not on your coin.
Horn looks full AND rounded; tail fully split on the end.
All around excellent coin.

Nice coin ,nice price. the 38-D is an inexpensive buff especially in mint state grades. don't fret ,you have a beauty .
