1966-P Lincoln Cent Off Center w/ Lamination Peel

I think this 1966 Lincoln Cent is both a Off Center and also has a lamination error that had started to peel on the obverse.

edit:Off center as Pete41 pointed out!!

Any comment, suggestions or feedback always welcome..

HI OF

Sure appears to be a lamination but you may have an off center strike as both sides of the coin look to have been affected. On an MD only one side would be affected. Take a look at the thread from yesterday "1972 off center strike" began by Smilewastaken. That thread has some great info by COOP on how to identify whether a coin is an OC or MD coin.

didn't look uniform but it might be uniform? if it is, then it is off center

will check...

the bottom side is similar the other side looks the rim goes all off but it does not.

Off-center!

Nice find!

I don't think error collectors get real excited about an off-center strike unless some of the devices are missing. But I like it. There's something interesting about how close to the edge the devices can get and yet still be fine.

The lamination seems to go all the way from top to bottom!

Enjoy your coin.

was a interesting combo... yeah I if it wasn't a also lamination I would not keep it.. I used to keep them all till I got a roll of dimes that every other one was off center..

Yeah the lamination goes full length but because the peel is at about 85ish% going from rim to under the date only that part stands out.

back to the search...
