Its from a dealer I trust. In either case, I've never seen one as good as that. Can't wait to see the reverse ... 1787, 1797, 1799, and 1816~1820 were the years when a lot of iconic coins appeared: I understand your fascination with them - I'm "bitten" as well. NumisMattyUk Pillar of the Community United Kingdom 2217 Posts	Posted 01/20/2008 6:42 pm My book (Collectors' Coins GB) gives £200 for the average price of one of these in EF condition but doesn't give a quote for UNC condition. I'm assuming it's in EF. Also I am scared of paying such prices so i'd expect to go lower. Really haven't a clue on what a fair price is for this piece but I'd take a wild guess at.....£100! When I agreed to the trade in Jan silver was at $15.78 Which would have made the buy price around $400 todays silver price puts it significantly more than that. Report this Post to the Staff
