has anyone ever tried the zPIX microscope by carson optical. I want to use it to take pics for ebay. you can even store photos of your coins on the computer. I'm thinking of buying one but wanted to get your opinions first.

The Carson website said that the retail is $99.99; however, HSN had it on their show last night for $69.95. I too am interested in it but am waiting to see an actual picture taken by it. HSN demonstrated one that was connected to a laptop. It looked very easy to use and a touch of the finger allowed you to take a picture. They didn't know how to use it so they only showed it in zoom mode. I would suspect that you could zoom out and see the whole coin; however, they didn't know how to zoom out. It really zoomed deep into the coin; however, the picture on the laptop made the coin look like a blueprint. I don't know what an actual photo would look like. The laptop made it look like it would take a poor quality photo. Please post an actual photo if anybody has one. Also let me know if you find a lower price.
