Originally I thought this was a notgeld because it was in with other notgeld coins. Now I am thinking maybe a transit token since the only German reference I can find to V.G.F. is the German transportation system? The reverse is identical.

I believe it is actually a cafeteria/food token...

The Menzel reference has this piece listed in the back of the books, Menzel#33422...

It lists the value at 8 Euros

jdmern - I cannot find an link to the Menzel material. Does it mention a date for the token?

No date listed... The Menzel books are 2 volumes German language, I had to order my copy from Germany and are rather expensive, but are a fantastic work, especially for rather obscure pieces like this, as well as the private issues
