Pretty sure there are at least two different scripts on this coin.

One is Arabic.

The other I would need some time to identify, but is likely one of the South Asian scripts. Arabs settled/colonized as far as Indonesia during the "golden age" of AD 800-1400. Your coin does not look like a recent coin, bit is probably from ca. 1600-1940.

Hopefully one of our members who is literate in Arabic will be along shortly to assist. What is on the other side?

It looks indeed from after 1600.
Perhaps Nuremberg jeton?
