After seeing coop's post on tweak800 thread on the 1972-D DDO.

I had just skipped over a roll of 1972-d a few days ago so I pulled back out a roll of 1972-d but only 6 of 50 had any master doubling maybe 1 in 8 had it and one of those was different when compared versus others.

So I think that just maybe this one is not the master doubled die? And to think I had originally voided the whole roll as master doubling without looking any deeper.

So I put my coin next to coops example of the master doubling to how or even if they different.

As you can see below.

Then headed over to coppercoin to match it to and it looks like a 1972D-1DO-004.

Hopefully I am correct on this one...

It does look like 1972D-1DO-004. The location look correct as well. (I didn't do an overlay though)

I found an interesting way to check locations of mint marks. You tear a piece of white paper in 1/4 and then you can see where the location of the mint mark is in relation to the bottom of the date. Then check the vertical of where the mint mark edges are. You can see through the paper to check the location. Work for me. I have a bill that I haven't paid yet, so I use that. LOL
