I am considering buying this 1827/6 Bust Half and am trying to confirm the variety and the rarity. From looking on heritage I think it is a O-103? Sorry the pics are not better. Its the best I could do with my phone.

Is there distinct recutting on the "5" in "50 C."?

If not I would say it's an o.102

What also makes me say o.102 is the "M" is higher than "A" in AMERICA. o.101 and o.103 do not have an "M" distinctively higher than "A".

I was looking at the date and how the 7 is off the planchet. Is that not a good indicator?

It's a good indicator for if its one of the 3 overdate varieties. To discern which variety it is, most of the focus is on the reverse.
The 1827/6 obverse die was paired with three different reverse dies during minting.

I am going by my Overton book, btw. Note: pretty sure I see the die break to the upper right of the last "A" in AMERICA. In later die states like this coin it appears as a circular smudged blob.

I think it is O-102 R1 based on the T/I alignment - Right sides of T and I appear aligned. Just my opinion of course.

DoubleEagle20 and cipster thank you! I originally thought that ANACS had made a mistake on the variety because of the overdate matching the O-103's I found on Heritage.

Decided to pull the trigger:) The coin has nice original surfaces and the rainbow hues poking through are quite nice even though they are hard to capture with the camera. The gray sheet pricing was convincing also. Here are a couple more pics:
