I am really impressed, yet somewhat cautious of the quality of this particular Titus RIC 119. Any thoughts?

I checked a few of the fake coin reports and didn't find a match so I think this is good. An excellent example.

It is rare for a Roman coin to wow me the way the Greek ones do. This one does wow me though... WOW!!

Well centred, nice deep strike, excellent bust and nice surfaces on a full flan with legible legends (a couple of letters a little weaker than others is only negative and that's a small thing if you ask me)

The coin looks like it could have been made yesterday (naturally what you are nervous of) and I don't know enough to say one way or the other but it looks OK to my limited experience.

Great coin one would presume.

I second the WOW. Some masterful die engraving on this one.

Thanks! I had looked at the fake reports, could not find it. It matches one that CNG sold for close to 4,000 earlier this year. I was lucky, won it for far less, in spite of some internet issues that had me bidding on the coin ten seconds before the auction closed. Nevertheless I wanted it due to the incredible portrait and look. No one outside of numismatics believes me when I tell them coins like this are close to 2,000 years old.

A sizable chunk of money to have in one coin, but in this case you got what you paid for. I am sure it will stand out as a highlight in your collection. Great pick up, its definitely deserving of fruit.
