I purchased this Whitman folder for a couple bucks, in the hopes of finding a variety or error coin. I noticed the toning, is this good to see on Lincoln's? The reverse of these coins have a light blue toning and the obverse looks like it has been dipped in maple syrup with toning more obvious on some than others. Thank you!

They look good to me. I'd be very happy with them even if I found no varieties and would let them sit for another 10yrs+

NICE! I'd move them into airtites if you want to keep them looking as nice as they do now.

You can't stop the progression once it has started all you can do is slow it down. Thad is saying that they look good now, which they do, so it's time to slow it down by taking them out of the album and puting them in airtites which will slow it down considerably. I personally would let them simmer but they can get worse instead of better. Your call, but Thad is the man when it comes to toned lincolns so I would forget my own advise to myself and go with him too

I really appreciate the information. You should see one of the zinc bubbled coins that is as toned as these ones, the mint should be ashamed of what they did to our currency.

The toning looks natural for coins stored in this type of folder. These were designed as cheap entry level albums for circulated coins.
