You never know where you will find a coin collecting reference. I was watching South Park tonight and there was another coin collecting reference (I mentioned the other episode a while back)

The episode is "Here comes The Neighborhood". Token goes down to Starks Pond and appears to be skipping rocks but it turns out he is skipping Sacagawea dollar coins (since the episode came out in 2001).

New episode tonight after Law & Order S.V.U. . You going to be watching?

I pointed out a Simpsons reference a while back too. Beverly Hillbillies one too! I think we have a movie/TV thread on this forum somewhere.

He was! I started a thread on him a wee bit ago!

Since Buddy Ebsen was a huge coin collector and lived before TPG was really a thing I was wondering if anyone, through old auction catalogues or otherwise, can lay claim to owning a coin that used to belong to Jed Clampett?

I never noticed that, probably because that episode originally aired in pre-HD-DVR days and I have not seen it since.

Good catch.
