I need to sell my Old Japanese coin collection & I was wondering if anyone on the CCF would know of a site that buys stuff like this. I'm looking to sell it as a collection & not piece it out if I don't have to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry no help on the website (but honestly ebay will probably be the best bet), just wanted to say that I wish I had more money to entertain the thought of your Japanese coins since I just got a Japan type album. :D Good luck to you!

Thanks. I've been dreading putting it on ebay as a collection. If I go the ebay route I'm going to have to piece it out.

Well hopefully you can get it sold as a collection. If you are forced to split it out, putting them here on the forum isn't a terrible option! But yeah as far as I have read ebay is best for foreign coins, unless some of the smaller sites have someone wanting that collection badly.

Hey there is one coin I'd trade it for. I'm sure no one has one for trade. I was trying to be funny. Sorry if I shouldn't have done this.

What kind of old Japanese collection are we talking about? Like 1-10 sen coins from the 1910s-40s, or big bucks kind of coins?

Give us a little more information and maybe someone can offer a few more suggestions. Photos help. How many pieces? Approximate value?

Contact Bob Reis or Scott Semans as they deal in this stuff.

There are collectors here that do collect Japanese coins. If you do fulfill the minimum requirement for the advertisement section, you may be able to post there.

What kind of research have you done to determine the value of your collection and do you know how much you spent in building it? I ask because I worry about getting my investment back out of my collection when I need to sell it in the future. I've pretty much convinced myself that I will have to sell piecemeal on ebay to break even.

I was wondering where you were Dan when I posted an update in the spider coin thread. Nice to see you back. As for the coins themselves are there any local auction houses? I find those auction house prices go crazy. I have seen 3 1918 large cents go for $30!

jbuck. I wasn't trying to sell or trade them here. The thing about the trade for that coin wasn't a serious trade offer. I wasn't trying to break any rules. Sorry.
I've been on this site since 9/3/14 but only have 130 posts. I don't post that often because I collect what most here don't.

Finn235. I have mainly 1, 4, 10 & 100 Mon with some fake 100 Mon coins. Some Bu & Shu. I have two collecter sets & various other things.
I'll check some of the place that have been mentioned. Thanks.
