Monaco issues the 2 eurocoin 2015 with a total mintage of just 10.000 pieces.
This is the rarest 2 eurocoin in the World.
The coin has quality proof.

Nice! The design is crazy detailed.

Strange you should say about second place, because I know that (before this year) the lowest minted €2 coin was the 2011 Greek one (picture attached), with only 15,000 pieces struck. Also, you can pick it up for about €40 so it's mad that the Grace Kelly is worth 2000!

That's correct, but the Greek 2 eurocoin has the same image in 2012 and 2013 and 2014 by example.
Many collectors collect only 2 euro commemorative coins or different types.
Rest in Peace

I thought the ECB put in place regulations to prevent any commemoratives from having this small a mintage to prevent a repeat of the Princess Grace coin debacle.

That's what I thought, but apparently Monaco can make the decision.

10 000 pieces is a huge mintage if you compare it to the population of Monaco: less than 40 000 people.

That's correct Eurocoin, but you can use this eurocoin in all Europe. And the most European collectors (and also outside Europe) want at least every type of coin, so also this one.

The mintage is so low that european coin collectors are starting a protest against it.
