My question is if, even lightly, something is broadstuck or off center, does that rule out its chance as being considered a DDO or DDR or some "better" variety, as the irregularities would be attributed to the striking process?

Thanks!

And as a follow-up, what about stike doubling (or Mech doub, or Machine damage, etc)... can they coexist in the same coin?

I would bet the answer would be any coin can be a DDO or DDR, but it'd be very tough to sell (not worth trying to sell as Doubling) ungraded. That is, unless it was to someone who had an expert eye on true doubling, as most people would attribute any irregularities to Bstruck, OC, or Strike Doubling.

Am I correct about this?

A DDO / DDR can exist on any coin, regardless of any other errors present. Doubled die varieties are attributed to the dies themselves, not the striking process. Machine Doubling can indeed coexist with hub doubling, several of the known 1969-S DDOs also display strong Machine Doubling but it is obviously not limited to just the 1969s.

Here is an example of MD on a DDO:
If-Something-Is-Broadstruck-Or-Off-Center--->-No-Variety?
To me it is a distraction, not a plus. I found one on a DDR. The left side of the coin was MD, the right side a DDR. Both on the same coin. So on a broadstruck coin, if the die has hub doubling on it, then it would be on a broadstruck coin.
