I want to put my non valued coins in a binder. I'm trying to find coin pages I can put them in without having to put the coins in 2x2 holders and I don't want to buy page for each denomination. So I'm wondering if I buy the ones for dollar coins that have a flap, can I also use them for pennies and other coins Edited by Nate_Cz 11/07/2015 10:27 pm

You can just make sure there is no PVC in the pages you buy. Mylar or archival are best.

Curious, why would you not want to use a cardboard 2x2?

The reason I don't want to use the 2x2 cardboard is because I have different coins I want to put in the pages.

Use double pocket clear non PVC flips. You can get 40 coins in a 20 album page with those. Can hold any size coin up to about 40mm diameter or thereabouts. OK if you just want to store them in an album. Easy to take any coin out and put back again.

sel_69l, I like that idea. I think I'll do that it will make it so much easier then the 2x2 cardboard. Thanks for the idea

jbuck, It's just I really don't like the cardboard 2x2 and they're a pain both put the coins in and remove the coins from them.

A coin in a 2x2 is less likely to move around and get "rubbed". I use a quarter size 2x2 for 1-5-10 and 25 cent coins. If I have an extra nice coin I will use the right sized 2x2 so it won't move around at all. You can also use a half dollar or large dollar 2x2 for the prez dollars, that way you see the side view. All of my miscellaneous and world coins are in cardboard 2x2. Once in the coins are usually there to stay, so I am not worried about getting them out. Getting them in just requires a good stapler. I know a bad one can make the task a frustrating one.

i like the saflips but they cost a lot lot more. Dimes and pennies will move around in them, not sure if they can cause any "rub". I don't really use cardboard 2x2s because I dont want to deal with the staples, and they are one time use. I can also re-use saflips by either using the opposite pocket that didn't hold a coin, or just reuse the pocket the coin was in since I acetone anything before I put it in the flip. None of these coins are worth a ton, but they all have a value of at least a few or several dollars

Why staple 2x2's at all if they are going in an album anyway?
Just make sure that the side that folds is at the top so the coins can't slip out.

Thanks for your posts rob_ccs and jbuck. I have already solve the problem and am happy with it. I'm using Coretek 2" x 2" Double Pocket Flips. They did the job
