i bought $2 worth of pennies ( coin roll ) and I found large S 1970,light yellowish penny from 1979 minted in denver,1976 that has multiple colors and 1973 looks like double die

The "large" and "small" refers to the date, not the mint mark.

Notice the black lines in the photo you included.

That being said, I believe that you have a large date.

Pay close attention to the direction the tail of the 9 points on the 1970 S cents. There are other years that have large and small date varieties as well. 1960, 1974, and 1982.
