The perks I would like to see are info booklets on historic coins. I found the booklet that CC &C put out with the Empress of Ireland very well done and informative. They still research the coins that they produce, so make it a perk. They could also issue quarterly color catalogs with the coin bios. I miss the info on the COA greatly. I learn some history through those. They could even do the art card like Bromberg's company. They could offer a discount on coin bezels or cases. These are just a couple ideas of value added items that could be exclusive. They had a book on the war of 1812 that was free, with a $300 purchase. I missed out on that book. These are interesting incentives. At the time I was just starting to buy circulation quarters.
It would be great to hear other ideas!

These are all of CCC commissioned coins, the RCM could do similar but at this point they don't seem to interested in collectors view. They will only change when their dealers are stocked full of half price coins

I still miss the yearly collection magazines. Of course, with thousands more MC members and hundreds more coins annually, there is no way these will produced again in the foreseeable future.

A great read, I didn't know they had done those in the past. It can't be that expensive for 1 copy when people are spending over a grand and with silver spot low. I could see if they sent one to every mint customer. Lately I've noticed I don't even get the monthly catalog. I think mar was the last. Anyone have this problem?

I dont have issues with the monthly catalogues, always get them, I actually think there is too much interest in the masters club program, the lowest tier should start at 2000+ since its extremely easy to become MC. I can open an account, buy $1000 worth of xforx, they have like 6x each $100 for $100 and 4x each $200 available, use cashback, get $30 get MC and before the credit card bill comes in deposit the coins to the bank, its like a cash advance without paying interest and getting $ to do so. Either that or stop including XforX coins in the MC program, then I am sure MC members will drop substantially, after which better perks can be offered. For example the limited mintage 2200, 2oz silver coin, it couldnt even pass through all MC tiers before going OOS

Mint reps/ website to actually follow the conditions set by being of a certain tier i.e. not jumping queue and if it says only one coin, then it's only one coin.

Having customer appreciation events more often &/or gift cards(tim Hortons, 2nd cup etc.) depending on what tier you represent.

I like the idea of the master club tiers but I believe purchase history and buying habits should have a lot more weight then pure dollar amount.
I think someone who has consistently bought a couple thousand dollars worth of individual coins every year for the last 5 to 10 years should far out weigh someone who has only bought multiple "Hot" coins or "X for X " coins or a single gold coin.
I've been a master club member a fairly long time, I very rarely purchase multiple coins and when I do they are gifts for my kids or grandkids.
Best example, my main collection is dollar based I have bought everything the mint has produced with a one dollar value ( silver dollars, proof, gold proof & BU, all the Loons, 97 silver Loon, two loons and on and on )
had my rep paid attention to that holding one the new exclusive 2 oz coins would have been a no brainer but..... :-(
I have had so many different subscriptions with the mint I have lost track.
I believe my first one was the scalloped zodiac series, this is also the first year I became a master club member.
I've also purchased all the silver F12 and F15 coins up until two years ago, when I believe the series went all to heck.
My rep has never even asked me why I stopped buying them.
Sorry ...long rant :(
I guess for me it comes down to the fact that they have a fairly small loyal customer base and it seems it should be so easy to take a minute and become familiar with each of us.
I believe if you consider there may be 5000 + master club members spending $1000-$2000/ year it would not be out of line to have around 25 Reps each looking after 200 customers, that's only 10 emails a day ..... ANY good sales person should be able to handle that.

20-25% up front discount to compete with what the dealers are selling them for a year or less after release... A few years back I would buy everything through the RCM. a) there wasn't so much of it; and b) the convenience outweighed the savings from having to keep a log and pick it up a couple of years later on ebay for maybe 10% less. Now b) no longer applies as you can easily pick up just about everything for 75% of issue price, less than a year after release, without much effort at all. Now I only buy directly from the RCM where it's a coin I really want that's a continuation of a series I'm already collecting so I want to make sure I get it. My RCM spend is maybe 20% of what it used to be a few years back.
