Okay, I need some help.

As a newbie, I might've made a fatal mistake. I have a blue Uni-Safe album that has a strong smell of plastic. I keep my nickel collection is this. Recently, I've gotten news that "any coin put in these are doom". Just wanting to get more opinions on this...and plus, I've had the album since November, so is it too late to switch or can anyone think of anything else to do?

THanks!

i would switch them out. the pvc will harm them but if you cant notice any effects yet I think you should be okay. I have purchased many coins in collections that had some of those pvc flips. They looked like they had ben in for a while some of the holder was turning yellow, but coin was okay.

I have kept pennies in some since the 80s and have noticed no major effects on them. Typically coins kept in these would be your pized possesions but space holders in a circulated group, although everyone is different. I still use them some. Yes the PVC yellows and getting coins in and out sometimes damages the album but no major problems.
