My father in law brought this over the other day and I am not sure what type of coin it is and when its from. I know its some type of Rome coin from the picture on it. Any info or help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Looks like "DN VALEN" at left, so perhaps Valens, with captive (GLORIA ROMANORVM) reverse.

Yes the text on the front is DN VALEN, I couldn't decipher it until I read what you said and looked at it.. The back is worn so I can't quite read it.. Any idea of when its from?
