It's just a bit worn off. The date is in the 2nd star. Sometimes I have to have some pretty high magnification to see them.

But the date is sometime between 1954 and 1963

These are beautiful coins but there is such a problem with weak strikes. I searched dates of a few hundred and only about 10% had the words in the pillars that were legible.

There are indeed many weak strikes of these coins. Together with some wear this makes the date in the stars disappear. Note also the wear on the eagle's neck and the pillar.
